Robbi Cooper was nominated by her principal, Brittney Chaney.
Mrs. Cooper created and implemented a huge Christmas project at her school. She spends countless hours fundraising and finding sponsors for students that would normally not have many (if any) Christmas gifts. This project is on top of the wonderful job she does as a counselor. She goes above and beyond, while also being a wonderful part of her community.
Mrs. Cooper recruits local churches, school groups, community members, and families to sponsor students who are in need. She takes nominations from school officials of students who may be in need. Last year, over 40 students received over 6-7 gifts a piece. After being "adopted," Mrs. Cooper works to create an anonymous system where families come pick up the gifts for their students without anyone knowing who was sponsored. Many parents are in tears when they see the gifts for their children.
"It is a wonderful treat to see Mrs. Cooper's idea and hard work play out. The community comes together to help our local students thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Cooper," said Chaney.
Robbi heads up our Christmas Angel program each year which provides Christmas gifts to children and families who would otherwise have nothing for Christmas. She is also very conscientious of the teachers who serve her own personal children. She remembers their birthdays and has a gift for them each and every holiday. She also went to great lengths last year to facilitate the best teacher appreciation week our school ever had! Thank you Robbi!
Words can not express the love and kindness Robbi has for the kids! She has been a blessing to our family in so many ways! She is a joy to see each morning at the school and is always smiling! She is always there ready to help when I call in need. Ha! Love you Robbi!

Robbi Cooper is a very nurturing person. She has a bubbly personality that overflows onto the students. She cares about each student as an individual and treats all students fairly. You could talk to every student at our school about Mrs. Cooper and I don't believe you would hear one negative word. She encourages the students and lets them know she expects their very best in everything they do. She also carries all of these traits into the work area. She works well with others and tries to meet the needs of the teachers as far as schedules or any problem they may be having in the classroom. She's very deserving of the title of "Life Changer of the Year".
She is deserving of this award because she truly cares about the welfare of others! She changes lives daily at our school and has rightfully earned this title!
No words could describe how wonderful she is. She treats all my kids like her own. She goes above and beyond for every student. She is well deserving of this and so much more. I know i appreciate everything she does at Southeast Middle School.
Mrs. Copper is so deserving of this award. Not only is she a great counselor (amongst many other things at SEMS) she helps the kids in and out of school. She always has a smile on her face and welling to help anyone. 5th grade was a big transition for my child & me...mainly me! She made me feel very comfortable leaving her with no worries, even went as far as sending me pictures of her throughout the day to ease my heart. We love her and she deserves to be recognized! ????????
Robbi is a tremendous person with such a loving heart! She is definitely a hard worker and such an asset to her community and school. Always smiling and goes above and beyond to help others. Robbi is so deserving of this award!
This is my son's 1st year at SEMS and I've only met Mrs. Cooper a hand full of times but each time she's had a big smile and willing to help with anything I needed. Well deserved recognition. Congrats!
Congratulations. Very proud of you
So proud of you Robbi. You are making a big difference in the students lives. Keep up the good work. Way to go!!
Congratulations...very well deserved.
Mrs. Cooper has been great for my kids in and out of school! She always has a smile on her face every morning in the car rider line as she greets each kid! I couldn’t ask for a better guidance counselor for my kids.
Such a caring person! A selfless endeavor to make Christmas full of happy memories and show genuine love for neighbors. Knowing her parents and grandparents, I share their pride for having an offspring doing so much for so many!
Robbi has always went above and beyond to help the kids! I can’t think of a more deserving person for this award!!!
I’ve seen Mrs. Cooper involved with children and parents through the travel baseball program. She is very congenial, caring and always concerned for others. She has been a fundraiser at the ballgames for her projects. She is a deserving lady. My background is in counseling and I recommend Mrs. Cooper for the Lifechanger of the Year Award.
Robbi works so hard and still does so much extra for these students, the school and also the community. She is a volunteer soccer, softball, and dance team coach, works at her church and loves these kids everyday! It is not unusual for a sick student to be in her office after hours for help or waiting on a ride or forget to be “mother” to some of the team when parents aren’t available. She is a wonderful asset!!
If anyone deserves this award it is definitely Mrs. Cooper! Have known her for years and she always goes above and beyond to help others whether she’s known them for years or doesn’t know them at all, she always puts others needs before her own and does it with a smile on her face.
Always friendly and have a smile!!
Always working for kids!!!
She’s a great person and a great friend. She deserves this award
