Stanley Clarke was nominated anonymously. 

Mr. Clarke is the 2025-2026 Carroll County Schools Teacher of the Year. His 30-plus-year teaching career spans Georgia and Alabama, classroom and leadership positions, and even time at the Alabama Department of Education. He’s been teaching at Central High since 2020. His agriculture education programs have been recognized at the state and national levels, and one of his proudest moments was teaching two national champion forestry teams.

In Mr. Clarke’s four years at Central High School, 15 students have become Georgia state champions in various agricultural career development events. In 2023, his Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter and students were honored and recognized as the Area 1-Northwest Georgia FFA Chapter of the Year.

“Mr. Clarke is an outstanding choice for Carroll County Teacher of the Year,” Carroll County Schools Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Executive Director Cindy Clanton said. “He has elevated the standard for all of our agriculture programs in Carroll County by continually leading in FFA competitive events, supervised agricultural experiences, and quality classroom instruction. He focuses on growing future leaders and building stronger communities.”

No one could be more deserving of this nomination than Mr. Clarke! This is my third year in his FFA program, and I’m so thankful for all he does for our entire chapter. His words of encouragement never fail to motive us to achieve great results, not only in various Career Development Events, but in all pursuits of success throughout our lives. Every day, Mr. Clarke guides us all to “be premier,” as he likes to say. He treats all his students and FFA members with kindness and respect inside and outside the classroom. Mr. Clarke is, all around, a gift to Central High School!

Mr. Clarke is a great example of the meaning of leadership. He has a heart for education. He is gifted in teaching his students life changing skills. His character and teaching abilities are unmatched. He has dedicated his life to teaching young people skills to help them thrive as adults. He is a hero!
