Jackie Schultz was my TAP student when she was in her senior year of high school. That means, she came to my 2nd grade classroom for an hour or so each day, all year long to work with my (our) students. As a high school teacher apprentice, she was already changing lives of the kids she worked with in my class. She was a natural at interacting and creating a solid rapport with our students based on respect and kindness. She has since gone on to have a classroom of her own; sharing her natural teaching abilities and her devotion to all of her student population. She puts others first and takes her love and devotion for her kids outside the classroom too. She goes to see her students when they play sports and things of that nature and she also coaches different sports as well; spreading her kindness and good sportsmanship skills to others, making the world that much more of an better place to be in. It is an honor to know and work with Jackie (Ms. Schultz). She puts her heart and soul into her kids and her workplace. She deserves this wonderful honor whole heartedly.

She treats her co workers with kindness and appreciation. Not only did the children learn but they had fun while doing it! I can’t think of a better person to receive this special award!

OK, yes, I am Jacquelyn's Mom, so I may be a little biased. But that just makes me more qualified to tell you why I believe she deserves this amazing award of Life Changer of the Year. Who knows her better than her Dad and me? Ever since Jacquelyn was a young girl, she has always been very caring, helpful and compassionate. In Preschool her teachers told us that although she was the youngest in her class, she would help tie her classmate's shoes and zipper their coats. In Elementary school she loved to be the teacher's helper, and earned an award, "Wings" that was awarded to students that helped their classmates who needed a hand at times. While in college, she volunteered as a "Big Sister" in the Big Brother/Sister program and took some young girls under her wing and helped them feel special. After graduating college Jacquelyn has been involved with our local Challenger Program, assisting at baseball and basketball games, as well as encouraging many young children to be the best they can be, whether on the field or in a classroom. She has a natural ability to form a close bond with her students, and their families. She attends concerts, sporting events, cheer competitions, birthday parties of both current and former students. Anything to show them that they are important and that she cares about them. She has coached Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball, and her athletes look up to her and respect her. At the school Jacquelyn teaches Special Education, she has been awarded Educator of the Year and also was a recipient of Teachers who Rock. She organized an event called Color War that raises awareness for Children with Autism that was a wonderful success - so much fun was had by both students and staff. She volunteers to organize events like the school holiday parties, and monthly teacher breakfasts, and teaches after school classes. Jacquelyn's Dad and I have had parents and students alike stop us and confide in us how much their child respects her as a teacher and/or coach. They tell us that she has turned their child's attitude around towards school and that they look forward to her class. Jacquelyn believes that all students deserve to be recognized and appreciated, and she goes out of her way to make sure they all feel seen, heard and understood. We may not be in the classroom with her, but we see the care and compassion that Jacquelyn has for all the children that her life touches. We couldn't be prouder of the Educator and woman that she is and how deserving she would be for the Life Changer of the Year award.

Jackie is an incredible educator, but an even better daughter, sister and person. Jackie was always meant to be a teacher because of her natural proactive and generous nature. She goes to extraordinary lengths to put her students first and is committed to challenging herself to be best version of herself every time she walks into the classroom. If there were more educators out there like Jackie, the world would be a far better place. I know Jackie’s successes are contagious and she will continue to inspire other educators like myself to take my teaching to the next level. Thank you for everything you do to put smiles on the faces of kids each and every day!

Coach Shultz was my coach for two years in middle school volleyball. She had a very strong connection with all the girls on the team. She was such a good coach and always pushed me to try my best. I never really played on a team for volleyball before and I have gotten so much better with her help. Coach Shultz truly changed my life for the better. As my volleyball coach, her unwavering support and dedication were instrumental in my personal growth and development. She always pushed me to reach my full potential, both on and off the court, instilling in me a sense of confidence and determination. Her positive attitude and belief in my abilities made a significant impact, and I’m incredibly grateful for her guidance and mentorship. Coach Shultz wasn’t just an amazing coach; she was a role model who inspired me to strive for excellence in everything I do!

Miracles happen in Ms. Jackie Schultz' classroom every day---one student at a time. She is the kind of teacher who makes a huge difference in the lives of her students whom she clearly loves. She is enthusiastic, dedicated, caring, highly skilled and most important, conveys to her students that they CAN succeed. Little by little, she gets them to believe in themselves which brings out the best in them. Many of her students have had difficulty meeting with success until they enter her room. Surely they will remember her for the rest of their lives! Beyond the classroom, she is admired and respected by all for what she gives to the school community and as a colleague. She has earned this nomination and truly deserves to win! She is an authentic LIFE-CHANGER!

Jackie is actually one of my former students. I am delighted that someone else sees her genuine care for her students (and her athletes!- Jackie is also a coach). I have seen her in action and know that she is very deserving of this recognition. She goes above and beyond for all of her students as a teacher, advocate, voice, caregiver, coach and most of all just a good kind and caring individual. Way to go Jackie!

I have had the pleasure of working with Jackie for the last few years. As soon as she joined our staff, it was obvious that she would make a difference with our students. Jackie brought new, fun ideas to motivate, inspire, & excite the kids. She is a team player-always willing to take on a task for the greater good. The love she has for her students both past & present is apparent. She can frequently be found supporting them at events in the community. She is the embodiment of her students being “hers” for life. This award is so well deserved & I’m proud to work at Franklin School with her!

Ms.Schultz is one of the best teachers my daughter has had. She has help my daughter so much as she was struggling with her work. My daughter was with Ms Schultz for three years and she made her feel comfortable and safe. We saw her confidence grow during the time she was in Ms Schultz’s class. She enjoyed doing her work and going to school. Ms Shultz is a very patient person and knows what the kids in her class need. She was always there if we had a questions or needed help with something. She goes way beyond for her students. She is truly one of the best.

When you meet Jackie Schultz, you immediately feel like you’ve known her your entire life. She has that special ability to connect with everyone she encounters. Jackie is not just an excellent teacher she is an extraordinary human being who goes above and beyond at every opportunity to listen, encourage, give of herself, and help make the world a better place. As a Special Education teacher, Jackie is a vocal advocate for her students. She makes sure they focus on their abilities not just their limitations. For many of her students, school can feel overwhelming, but Jackie changes that. She creates a classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and capable of success. Her students walk into her classroom greeted by a “hello hug” and leave with a “goodbye hug,” and in between, they experience lessons filled with creativity, encouragement, and fun. Whether it’s through engaging games, personalized notes, or small prizes to celebrate achievements, they know she is someone who believes in them completely. Jackie doesn’t just teach academics; she teaches life. She sees the whole child and understands the barriers many of her students also face outside the classroom. She provides snacks to keep them focused, supplies to help them succeed, and even clothes when a need arises. She goes the extra mile to connect with families, ensuring they feel supported and heard. Jackie’s influence doesn’t stop at her students’ lives. For her colleagues, Jackie is the heart of our school. When you’re around her, you can’t help but feel inspired by her energy and positivity. She’s ALWAYS the first to lend a hand, whether it’s organizing charitable projects, leading an after school fitness program, or planning fun activities for staff. I’ve lost count the number of times she’s stepped in when things needed attention, not because she had to, but because she wanted to make things better for everyone. Jackie’s impact extends beyond academics. As a volleyball and basketball coach, she teaches her students the values of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. She shows them that success isn’t just about winning, it’s about the process, effort, and learning to work together. Her love for sports, whether cheering on the Yankees or Packers, brings joy to her students and reminds them that life should always have room for fun. Jackie, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. You are the very definition of a LifeChanger, not only for your students but for everyone lucky enough to know you. ??
