Tanisha Lockhart was nominated by a colleague, Nikki Upchurch.
"Ms. T, as the children call her, is a master at making order out of chaos. She is the cafeteria manager at our school. She always manages to help everyone and find creative ways to manage every single event that arises. She is creative, capable, and determined," said Upchurch.
I am Tanisha's area supervisor and have worked alongside Tanisha at Neuse River M.S many times.
Tanisha is a hands on manager that cares very much about her program, employees and students.
Tanisha works hard and is an example for others by her work ethic Her serving line is always full of wonderful choices that is batch cooked so our students get a quality fresh product. Tanisha really takes pride in her work and trains her staff to become the best they can be. She has trained employees in her program who have gone on to be promoted to manager positions with CNS.
Tanisha will always help out in other programs whenever she can, either by sending an employee to a cafe that is short staffed or go herself.
On a personal note Tanisha is a very upbeat, positive and caring person who is truly concerned about her staff and students.
I am extremely proud of Tanisha and her accomplishments. Tanisha deserves this nomination. Whether she wins or not Tanisha is a Life Changer every day and I am very lucky to have her on my team. Congratulations Tanisha.

Ms. Lockhart runs an organized operation. She has her straff ready to feed over 250 students at 6:55 each morning and over 800 students over 3 grade level lunches 5 days a week. Ms. Lockhart takes pride in her work and is a great asset to the Neuse River family.
Ms. Lockhart understands the importance of ensuring our students have a healthy breakfast and lunch each day. She is always willing to lend her voice when needed to help provide meals and resources for our students.
