Congratulatioins Rosalba on your nomination for the LifeChanger of the Year award and you are so deserving of this nomination. As Ana described in her nomination of Rosalba, she is a valued colleague and support for our students because she genuinely cares about her school community and strives to help others in so many different ways. At our San Diego County Office of Education community schools, Rosalba always puts student needs first and students feel cared for when she is supporting school food services. Her welcoming way of interacting with students makes them feel comfortable and often helps students who are struggling or having a difficult day feel like someone cares about them and is there to listen when they need an understanding and comforting adult. This ability to support our students is very special because our community schools serve some of San Diego's most vulnerable youth, who have experienced challenges including housing and food insecurity, juvenile incarceration, teen parenting and group home placement. So, Rosalba's ability to connect with and care about each student makes her a very impactful contributor to San Diego County Office of Education and someone who is so deserving of this award nomination. Congratulations again, Rosalba, and thank you for being such a thoughtful and dedicated part of our school community.
