Coach Morgan is a LifeChanger because he teaches his students more than just academics; he is more than just a coach or a teacher. He prepares students for the real world by showing them how to act and how to treat people. Coach Morgan shows great leadership in the school by being nice, helpful, funny, and being an amazing role model. Whenever his students/players make a mistake, he shows them how to fix it and help them so they don't repeat it again. When he sees a student struggling with something, he asks them if there is any way to help them. Coach Morgan stands up for his students and coworkers.
His nominator states, "There are many words that could describe Coach Morgan, but if I were to choose three words, I would say he is friendly, motivating, and hilarious. These are just some of the many reasons why Coach Morgan is my LifeChanger."
This guy has the patience of Job! Deserves this and more.
Coach Morgan was my PE/health teacher in middle school. Not only is he hilarious but he is also super caring. He hates seeing his kids fail and he fights for us all. He made my middle school years so much better and he really is someone special and a life changer.
Although my son wasn’t involved in sports, he was still greatly impacted by Coach Morgan. He was a friend, an encourager and life coach. We are forever grateful for the impact and influence that Coach Morgan had and know that it will be a life-time impact.
Coach Morgan was my middle school PE teacher, i was coached my him in elementary baseball, as well as middle school and high school basketball and high school softball! He was absolutely a life changer and is one of the funniest people i’ve ever met! super uplifting coach and person just in general! i was so lucky to have been taught by coach mo all these years!
Coach Morgan, Willy, was my basketball/p.e. Coach from 3rd grade up until I decided to stop playing my sophomore year. He never let anyone feel like they couldn’t. He gave you the motivation and inspiration to truly feel like you could do anything. He is the exactly who I would want to coach/teach my daughters/sons.
Coach Morgan has been so much, for so many over the years. For me he was more than a teacher spilling wisdom. He was a support system and a positive male figure when I needed one. He takes the tension out of a space with his goofy personality and silly jokes. He is welcoming, warm, kind, but also firm and passionate about the work he does and the kids he works with. I know I will always remember the early morning practices & tournament days, and how they helped shape me - and part of that is thanks to Coach Mo.
We have watched Coach Morgan coach for many years (as parents on an opposing team) his kindness has always stood out. His love for the game is apparent, but his focus on good character and building up the kids around him has always superseded winning. He is a great example to all those around him!
Whether you are Kirbyville alumni, or a current/former educator with Kirbyville schools, you are guaranteed to have a Willy Morgan story or memory. He positively impacts the lives of all he comes in contact with. No matter the class, subject, or sport, you will learn something from him (and have some laughs along the way) that will stick with you forever. I’m lucky enough to have him has a teacher, coach, and DAD. He is very much deserving of this award!!
Coach Morgan was the best P.E. Teacher I ever had. He always knew how to get everyone participating and made it a fun atmosphere! PE was always the highlight of the week for me!
Coach Morgan was my coach in high school, and some of my highlight memories were playing for him. Sports are so important for kids and teens and he was the best coach there ever was.
I have been fortunate enough to have a front row seat in witnessing the dedication that Coach Morgan has for his students in the classroom and the athletes he has coached! He truly has a heartfelt desire to help young people reach their full potential and succeed in school and in life! He has spent countless hours coaching basketball and baseball players, teaching them the fundamentals, how to work together as a team, how to respect your teammates, encouraging them to be better, do better, work hard and succeed! The time, money, late hours, sacrificing time with his own family to be the best teacher and coach is why he deserves all the accolades!!!
I think he is an awesome teacher,and is very fun! he deserves recognition for all the things he does. he also deserves candy compensation for all the candy he gives us!!!
I very much agree with this nomination. Morgan is an amazing example of a fun and caring teacher. He always makes sure to make his classes the most fun thing imaginable. He also is very helpful and can easily help solve problems that his students are stuck on. Just these reasons alone are why I and many others think that this is a wonderful person to nominate.
