Kaily Long was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Long's nominator states, "If I had to describe my LifeChanger in three words, they would be: kind, hardworking, and warm hearted. My LifeChanger has done a lot for her students, such as providing a good atmosphere for them. Whenever we need help with anything, we know to ask her, and she will try her best to help. In general, she is just an amazing person to be around. One time when I came into school and was feeling angry, I went into her classroom and started working on an assignment. I needed help, but because I was angry I didn't ask for it. She noticed that I was having a hard time, so she came over and helped me, and I ended up getting a 100/100 on that assignment."

I’m Kaily’s mom, and as her mom I’m so proud of her. Not only is she a great teacher, but she truly cares for her students. She wants to see them succeed and she gives the extra attention when needed. She loves going to their outside activities and even provides snacks when needed. She is very gifted at teaching and her students are blessed to have her in their lives.

Okay, as her father, I may be a bit biased, but I have always been proud of Kaily. She has always excelled at what she has put her heart and mind to. However, since she began teaching years ago, she has always made a personal commitment to her students that has exceeded the norms. Her drive for excellence in herself carries over toward her desire for her students. She has such a great heart for teaching but also for the students.

I had such a great time planning curriculum and co-teaching with Kaily Long at Missouri State University before the pandemic. She was fun, professional, approachable, and truly cared for our students. From her life abroad, she understood cultural differences (and similarities) and could appreciate how one’s culture impacts thinking and learning. I only wish we lived closer and could teach on the same staff again. Congratulations, Kaily! ??

I will be forever grateful for the life changing impact that Mrs. Long had on my son. Being a teenager boy is hard and junior high can be hard. Mrs. Long continuously gave positive encouragement to my son for the good things he was doing when it seemed like only the negatives were coming from many other directions. That was always uplifting for my son and he always admired Mrs. Long for the respect she gave him. She truly cares for her students and wants to see them succeed.

ms. long is an absolute sweetheart she cares for the kids she teaches she loves them with all her heart. Ms. long even does posters and hangs them outside her room she is honestly the BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!!!. Ms. long does fun things in her classroom she even has a conference desk for people who needs help on their work. Ms. long gave everyone a bracelet last year and she said it took her 6 mins on each one to 6x100 so it took her 600 mins i think at least. but i am so happy i moved to Kirbyville when I did but if I never moved here then I would have never met her I am so thankful for her.

Ms. Long is an outstanding educator! She pours everything she's got into creating a safe, fun learning environment for her students. She deeply cares for her students and this helps her build relationships that truly foster learning to take place. In my 27 years in education, I've never met another human-being that was so "built" for teaching! Our students our blessed to have her in their lives and as her co-worker....so am I!
