LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Brandi Lozano was nominated by a colleague, Edith Hendricks Williams.

Ms. Lozano is a dedicated nutrition services worker. She has worked for Kern High School district for over 24 years, 15 of those years as a cafeteria supervisor. Ms. Lozano's love for the students and staff goes beyond her job duties. She is always trying to find ways to motivate the kids to eat their food and the staff members to come in and try the delicious food in our cafeteria. 

Ms. Lozano supervises 15 cafeteria service workers who serve over 2100 students daily, including over 100 staff members. When you walk into her office she always greets you by your name and a smile. Her staff loves working with her because she is patient and understanding of how life circumstances can change. Ms. Lozano has a mild temperament, but when she speaks, she speaks with tenderness and firmness, a unique blend that resonates with her staff and students. Her communication skills with the high school students are not just good, they are exceptional, and she is loved by the students and staff. 

"Brandi is a fantastic supervisor and colleague, and I'm proud to send this nomination on behalf of all of our students and faculty," said Hendricks Williams.
