Rosa Gordon was nominated by her husband, Flash Gordon.
When Ms. Gordon was in second grade, her teacher inspired her to become a teacher herself. After finishing her education in San Bernardino, she decided to give back to the community by teaching at Emmerson Elementary. After a decade of influencing children’s lives, she was approached by her leadership to become a demonstration teacher, a group of elite teachers who serve as an example on how to run a successful classroom. She is part of a group of 40 demonstration teachers and leads approximately 2,500 other teachers in the district.
She focuses on personal development by reading books that challenge her to provide value to her students and peers. As a model teacher, she has made school district videos that are on YouTube, providing value and guidance to educators online. Check out some of her demonstration videos below.
