The money and dedication she puts into her classroom reflects on every single one of the students. Although she is a great teacher, she is also a fantastic colleague. She is well-trusted to talk to about things inside and outside school. Her attentive listening and thoughtful advice show she is blessed with such a caring personality. Mrs. Hercher makes sure to check on you when you're sick and makes sure you have everything needed to keep pushing on. She truly puts students, teachers, and family before herself; she is selfless. She is transparent while keeping it professional with her students to create a family environment inside her classroom. Mrs. Hercher is for sure the Jack Hartman of teachers.

These are three words I can use to describe Laurie Hercher. I must clarify that these are not the only words I could use for her. Since I started working here at Crystal City, Mrs. Hercher has been a great role model to her colleagues and new teachers. Her positive atmosphere and persistence show me she truly loves her job and cares for her students. Some people are born with the ability to be an amazing teacher; I truly believe she was created for this job. Working with her is the most amazing experience."
