Sue Lewallen was nominated by the school principal, Holly Eiswirth.

"Three words that come to mind when I think of Ms. Sue are humble, kind, and selfless. Ms. Sue greets our students and staff with a smile every single day. She pours her heart into preparing delicious meals for the students daily. Her compassion for others shows her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our students and staff enjoy their meals. Ms. Sue arrives early and works on the weekend to inventory, stock, and prepare meals. She is the first to lend a helping hand even if she is busy," said Eiswirth.

"Ms. Sue is an absolute gem of a person. Her heart is giant and full of love and kindness for everyone in our school. Her smile lights up our cafeteria. There is no task she will not take on herself, and she is always there to lend a helping hand. A hard worker who never complains would be a good way to describe Ms. Sue. She is a calming presence in what can sometimes be a hectic cafeteria, especially at the beginning of a new school year. Ms. Sue remains calm and smiles through it all," said Eiswirth.

Eiswirth stated, "I have had the privilege of working with Ms. Sue for over 12 years and being her school leader for the past seven years. My life as a school leader has been enriched by having Ms. Sue here at BCE with me!"
