Jessica Griffith was nominated by her colleague, Dijana Spahic.
"There aren’t enough ways to explain everything Coach Griffith does for our campus! She’ll be there before school opens to help set up our events. She’ll teach throughout the day and be involved in helping anywhere she can. Coach Griffith will also be there after school lets out holding soccer practices and games. She is even there on the weekends helping us clean up the campus on her days off. Coach Griffith deserves an award like this," said Spahic.
I know Jessica from helping with the nonprofit she founded in Jacksonville to provide free soccer programs to sides of town where the kids don’t have easy access to after school sports. She fed, gave uniforms and cleats to, and taught kiddos in downtown Jax for years. You can’t name a better role model for your school than Jessica. Coach brings this passion to her classroom, the school’s soccer team that she coaches, and in all areas of her life!
Thoughtful, kind, compassionate, selfless — Jessica really does it all with such love and grace. She definitely deserves the recognition! She goes out of her way to serve and love others — truly honorable!

Coach Griffith has changed so many lives at Innovation. She is the first to lend a helping hand before you’ve even had the chance to ask. Coach Griffith even organized an annual Martin Luther King Day Campus Beautification Project where students came in on their day off to help clean the campus. She loves her school and the community within it. I couldn’t think of someone who is more deserving of this award.
Jessica is such an incredible person, coach, teacher, and friend. She completely deserves this nomination. Jessica is selfless — always think about other and serving others. She is kind, PATIENT, thoughtful, and truly one of the most compassionate humans I’ve had the privilege to know! She is loved by many from her family, coworkers, students, players, and more!
Coach Griffith has also started an annual MLK Day of Service at her school! Kids come in on what would traditionally be a day off of school to help work on service projects around campus, all started and led by Coach! Not only is she a bright spot in her school, but also her community she is a foster parent, working with specialized therapeutic placements and helping them achieve stability. Coach is someone who truly embodies this nomination.
