Kennedy's passion for working with students with profound disabilities who attend a separate day school, like The Quest Center, runs deep. These students, who range from kindergarten through age 22, represent some of the most unique and deserving individuals in our educational system. The Quest Center, a public school where 100% of students have special needs and qualify for free and reduced lunch, serves as a vital resource for these students, providing a specialized environment tailored to their exceptional needs.

Kennedy feels that creating a safe and enriching learning environment is not just important—it's essential. These students deserve a space where they feel secure, valued, and capable of growth, regardless of the challenges they face. Her goal is to nurture their potential, helping them to develop skills that will lead to positive outcomes in their post-secondary lives. This means more than just academic achievement; it's about fostering independence, self-advocacy, and a sense of belonging in the broader community.

Kennedy is deeply passionate about advocating for these unique and often underserved students, many of whom are non-verbal or have other significant communication barriers. Kennedy knows that these students have a voice that deserves to be heard in our community, and it is our responsibility to ensure they are not overlooked. She is a strong advocate for accessible resources and diverse educational experiences. Kennedy understands that these resources must be interest-based and personalized, enabling students to engage meaningfully in their learning and develop skills that align with their individual strengths and interests.

Kennedy know that by supporting these students, we not only enhance their educational outcomes but also contribute to a more inclusive society that recognizes and values the abilities of all its members. Her work is a calling, a commitment to making sure every student, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity to succeed and to be a valued part of their community.
