Zavala and the school counseling team is passionate about having a safe, calm space for students to self-regulate. It's important to allow the 6-12th grade students to improve their SEL skills both with us directly and on their own.
She is a passionate school counselor who is trained in the American School Counselor Association National Model of comprehensive school counseling. Experienced in designing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based Tier 1, 2 & 3 interventions in all three domains of academic, social/emotional, and college/career readiness to build connected school communities. Zavala also has specialized experience in working with LGBTQ+ and EL/ELD youth and holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in California and currently transferring it to an Educational Staff Associate for work in Washington.
