Rebecca Gomez was nominated anonymously.
Gomez is passionate about helping her students learn how to think about math in ways they may never have before. She wants to teach them that it is okay to make mistakes, but first, they must step out of their comfort zone and try. Gomez is passionate about helping to prepare my students for the future, not just high school, but beyond that. She wants to help them be their best selves.
"I have to give a shout out to all of my family, friends, students, and parents of my students while I’ve grown as a teacher," says Gomez. "I have learned so much through the years and continue to grow and learn so that my students and I can be our best selves." Earlier this year, Gomez was also nominated as Secondary Teacher in the Best of Texoma.
