As Namera's husband of 32 years, I am overjoyed by her nomination for the "Life Changer of the Year" award! She has done exceptional work as a high school art teacher for the past 10 years. Namera's passion for art and dedication to her students have a profound impact on their lives, as she not only imparts valuable artistic skills but also instills in them a sense of creativity, confidence, and a strong work ethic.
I think what amazes me most about seeing her do what she does are the stories of students who never knew how much artistic abilities they had until she became their teacher. Like nourishing a tree to blossom and bringing forth natural born fruit of creative talent in someone who might not have noticed it in themselves otherwise.
Through her charismatic personality and comical wit, Namera fosters a learning environment that extends beyond the classroom, encouraging her students to engage with the community and pursue relevant endeavors. Her weekly after school art club activities support enhanced engagement and confidence in her students that empower them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Namera continually seeks opportunities in honing her teaching skills while staying updated on the latest trends and topics in art education. I’ve witnessed her leadership and impactful participation in High School Juried Art Shows and The U.S. Congressional Art Competitions each year. Her dedication and commitment to her students and the broader educational community is truly commendable.
I believe Namera deserves this recognition for her outstanding contributions as a high school art teacher, devoted wife, amazing mother of five children and cherished “G-ma” of ten grandchildren. Her inspiring attitude to a positive and productive life, her personable teaching skills, and her influence on the lives of others make her an exemplary candidate for this prestigious award.
Namera is such a passionate art teacher!
I love her incredible attention to detail and commitment to the arts. She really brings so much focus to the table in her lessons and has a thriving Art Club! You can tell her students really love her and she loves her job. We love having her in the arts department!
