Perdue is really passionate about making sure every student has what they need to succeed. She wants to help ensure that all students have access to the tools they need so they can focus on learning and reaching their full potential.
Lakeside High School is a small, award winning, comprehensive high school servicing students in Spokane and Stevens County. Named to Newsweek's top schools list and CollegeBoard's Honor Roll, Lakeside is geared to graduate students who are college and career ready. All students at lakeside have access to a school counselor who advocates for their academic, career, and social-emotional needs.
Lisa Perdue is an amazing counselor. She is so caring, kind, responsive and truly cares about each and every student. I have had two kids go through the high school and she has helped them navigate through so much and she is always there when we needed help or guidance. She is very deserving of this nomination and we are so lucky to have her at Lakeside impacting our students' lives in such a positive way. Keep up the excellent work Lisa Perdue. You make a difference!
I have never experienced a better counselor than Mrs. Perdue she was always extremely knowledgeable and helpful to us.
As we attempted to navigate through running-start she answered every one of our emails and phone calls, we felt as though she really cared for our son and wanted to see him succeed, we need more people like her helping to guide our kids.
I was a student of LHS and Perdue was my counselor. Her dedication to the students was unmatched. She was one of a small handful of people in my corner as I was not the best student. She was an excellent role model and showed nothing but care and compassion. She truly is one of the best people to work at LHS. Thank you Perdue for always having your door open??
Although I'm not engaged with Lisa's daily professional life, I can attest to her as a person. She is committed to family, community and is a caring individual that I'm proud to be a part of. Very well deserved indeed!
We have experienced Lisa's ability to be a great mentor, first hand. Having high school daughters gives her the upper hand as she's dealing with teenagers both in the home and work environment. She's a true 24/7 counselor. Amazing contribution to our teen society, Lisa!
Lisa Purdue was definitely a very helpful counselor when I attended Lakeside High School. Even though she wasn’t my designated counselor, she helped me get through some of the toughest situations through high school. She does an amazing job ensuring the students of LHS are happy and healthy. She definitely deserves this nomination!
Lisa and my two “kids” go back to when they played tennis together for a few years. Those were great and fun times. Lisa is a personable and beautiful lady and she definitely deserves to be a nominee.

Your commitment to your students, parents and coworkers is nothing short of amazing. The job you do to make sure all your kids have what they need to manage the often difficult years of high school while looking toward the future.. helping them to see all the possibilities and doing this with an open heart and a safe place to be heard.

My son would definitely have not graduated or made it through high school without her help and support. We are so grateful she was able and willing to walk him through some incredibly tough years and guide him to a successful outcome.
