Ms. Bremner is very passionate about teaching students social emotional skills and about mental wellness. She wrote a grant to the Department of Justice so that programming regarding mental health and wellness could be provided to her district. As a result of her hard work and dedication, she was able to implement Sandy Hook Promise's Start with Hello and Say Something programs to every school within her district. Ms. Bremner also worked with colleagues to establish SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Clubs at every elementary, middle and high school.
The other cause she is passionate about is bringing physical wellness back into classrooms. Ms. Bremner is a part-time fitness instructor, and was able to bring programming from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation to her school. She is currently working on a grant called Wellness on Wheels, so she can bring the programs she has done at her school to other schools within the district.
