One of the best people on the planet has been nominated for a deserving award and I couldn’t think of anyone better. Guy is the best teacher anyone could ask for. He teaches with pride and passion. He treats all students and people with respect and is one of the most hardworking and caring people you could ever meet. He understands that everyone is different and uses that to insure everyone feels included and welcome in all situations. Not only can he teach and keep a student engaged but he also lends top notch advise and perspective. He would answer the phone in the middle of the night and drop everything to insure you were safe if ever in need of help. He’s the type of man you want teaching your children and the type of person you can have as a friend for a lifetime. I wish there were ways I could thank him more for the time and knowledge he poured into me during some vital years of my life. Guy Hermis thank you for being so awesome always!!! #LCOY

As a former student and lifetime friend of guy I can share that he is one of the most caring and supportive people you could ever meet. He understands that everyone is different and comes from different necks of the woods but continues to treat everyone equally with respect regardless of his own opinions. He’s understanding and teaches with passion and kindness. He will lend an ear and shoulder to cry on if need be and give you unopinionated advice. He’s the father figure I always lacked during high school and I couldn’t be more thankful to have met him. He’s a great teacher but an even better man and I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving. The same person he is in real life is who he is in the classroom and his skill level is above many!

Chef Hermis was one of the few teachers I looked up too while in school and he gave me a lot of advice about the military and its benefits along with different things including life advice and much more. I am now in the Air Force going steady applying the advice chef Hermis gave to me!

I had Chef Hermis when I was in high school. He’s the sole reason why I made it through high school and wanted to graduate and do something with my life. He inspired me to be better. And I know he will do the same there. Please support Guy.

As a former colleague of Guy Hermis I have seen how much his students love him! Guy held “Motivational Mondays”, taught his students truly how to cook, invited culinary schools to come and demonstrate cooking techniques and worked diligently to get his students industry certified. Always cheerful, Guy is a teacher students flock to be a part of in his culinary courses.

Chef Hermis (Aka chef hermy dawg) is an amazing teacher who brings so much joy and passion with him into his classroom everyday. He has taught me everything I know when it comes to cooking and food safety and i would honestly be eating McDonald’s everyday if it wasn’t for him.
