LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Ms. Mathes is passionate about making her classroom a positive and encouraging space where every child feels safe and valued. It is her honor and privilege to have the opportunity to build up each child and help them know their real worth. Ms. Mathes also tries to help each child realize that they each learn in different ways. She enjoys being a member of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association and the Christian Educators Association. Ms. Mathes also enjoys facilitating an after-school club called S3 (Students Standing Strong) at Tom Bean Middle School.
