Mrs. Bifora is passionate about her students succeeding. She has been in the teaching profession performing various duties for 30+ years, and she stays year after year for the students. Mrs. Bifora's most pressing needs are school supplies for her students. Students learn more when they can actively be a part of their education. Hands-on learning allows for students to touch, see, hear, and at proper times, taste and smell what they are learning about. If Mrs. Bifora's most pressing classroom needs were met, students could take ownership of what they are truly learning about. They could become active users of their education and apply what they are actually learning to real-life skills.
I am honored to support Laurel Bifora as a LifeChanger of the Year nominee. Laurel has been a steadfast and compassionate presence in our family, particularly in the lives of our 6 children. She is not only a guiding light in their education and personal growth but also a source of unwavering emotional support during challenging times.
Her ability to be multifaceted in her influence is truly remarkable—whether she’s providing a safe space for our children to express themselves, offering wisdom and reassurance in moments of crisis, or simply being a steady role model who teaches resilience and kindness by example. She has been there when they needed someone most, providing encouragement, perspective, and love in ways that leave a lasting impact.
Laurel doesn’t just support children academically or emotionally—she nurtures their entire well-being, instilling confidence, self-worth, and the tools they need to navigate life’s ups and downs. The patience, care, and dedication she demonstrates make her an undeniable LifeChanger, not just in our family, but in every life she touches.
I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition, and I hope her incredible influence is acknowledged in the way she so genuinely deserves!
Laurel is a passionate educator. Her life is about children, supporting their every success. She has committed herself to bringing the best out of them. She reaches in to get to know them and their struggles and finds solutions at home and at school. She works to find the specialists in their fields to help those students struggling in specific areas to help them. Every student that works with Laurel will get supported like family, I would expect nothing but the best from her. In the days of social media pressures, mental illness, family disfunction, life and financial struggles Laurel treats every student with dignity and respect. She makes them feel like they can achieve anything they put their ind and efforts to. With that kind of person cheering you on along the way, you want to do your best and know that person will navigate the struggles to reach and exceed their potential. I am so proud of Laurel and how she has helped hundreds of children move into adulthood knowing their teacher is supporting them as their biggest cheerleader. She's an amazing person and I highly recommend her for educator of the year! Good luck Laurel!

I have know Ms. Bifora for many many years. This woman saved my son from a school that was a sinking ship. My son, a member of Mensa, was in a school that was heading for a fall. This woman’s wisdom helped to pull him from the wreckage and helped me navigate the maze of confusion that I will be forever grateful for. My son is now a flourishing actor and Ms Bifora helped mold him into the man he is today!

Laurel Bifora is an inspiration to those around her. I had the pleasure of working with her for four years in a high school environment. If I was feeling challenged to tie interesting projects and assignments to a unit, I would visit her in her classroom. Every surface of her classroom proudly displays student work. I would look over her students’ work searching for a new idea or an assignment the students enjoyed. We’d brainstorm together and I’d always walk away feeling excited about approaching the unit. She is a gift to teaching.
I don't want to sound exaggerated, but if it weren't for Ms. Biforia, I wouldn't have had the courage to keep growing as a person and academically. I remember feeling down or just not in the mood, but she always made me feel better and talked through my problems. Her advice is something I still follow to this day. She's one of the most thoughtful people I know and truly embodies what a teacher should be. I love her for pushing me to succeed and aiming higher. I had her my junior year, but I begged the office to have her again my senior year because she was just that good of an English teacher. Her teaching methods are effective for all types of learners—visual, read and write, and social learners. She provided me with so many resources and opportunities to succeed in school. To any student who gets her as their teacher, you are very lucky; she made a significant impact on me.

Ms. Bifora was my 7th grade Language Arts teacher. She provided an incredibly creative and learning experience. She resonated with students across the board in every aspect. She was keen to observe good days and bad days. She was more than just a teacher. I accredit to her getting a perfect score on the FCAT in 8th grade. Beyond academics, she created a learning environment to bring students together - not look for differences. Ms. Bifora chose reading options that truly made you think and helped you process independent and creative thoughts. She stood out then and stands out now. When I met Ms B it was like God sent me a guardian angel to watch over me at school. Literally we met when I was transferring back to my old high school. She unlocked the door for me!!!! And then my English teacher quite so she was our teacher for the rest of the year. Ever since then she had been looking out for me. She is someone to tell your kids about. Ms Bifora really does this teaching stuff and spreading positivity as a lifestyle it’s not just a career. She really saw potential in me, always stayed after to school to help us students and would always put us kids first????

Heyyyyy Laurel(sounds so weird writing that) but has been one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life she was once upon a time my principal then became a teacher at a different school i attended. Anytime you see her she lights up your day she makes sure you know everything you need to know as well as teach you all the best and great necessities of life …she has always been a person you can go and talk to without regretting that they will tell everyone …she has helped me through a few tough times and I can’t truly say I AM GLAD THAT I MET HER!!!!!
