I could not agree more! Mrs. Fleet is a #LifeChanger! At Ware Academy she not only tirelessly works to lift the spirits of the students, but she does of the staff too. She goes the extra mile to make learning come to life as she joins in the teaching side-by-side with her instructors as she bakes to show math relationships, or even water rafts down rivers to investigate the Chesapeake Bay. She does not hesitate to roll up her sleeves and get in the trenches of teaching and learning! She also is spearheading our new building project as our school is expanding; this is no easy task on top of administration and teaching and often cheering on our teams each day (oh and directing our school play!). She understands the whole child and does not put a test number before a face. Mrs. Fleet believes in rigorous instruction, but values creativity and respects the knowledge of her team. It is a priviledge to work at Ware! #OneTeamOneGoal! - Nikki Ames, Upper School

Dawn Fleet welcomed me to teach at Ware Academy about 6 years ago. At the time, I was seriously considering leaving the (public) teaching profession after 25 years. She has created a great place to teach and I enjoy coming to work now. I wish more administrators were like Dawn Fleet.
