Music that Describes Latoya

Latoya Fleming was nominated anonymously.

"A LifeChanger chooses to make a positive difference in students' lives. My LifeChanger has done this by providing a safe atmosphere within the classroom as well as outside of the classroom. Latoya Fleming is also a full-time business owner, and with this title, she has chosen to not only teach inside the walls of her classroom but has provided opportunities for some of her students with after-school employment," said the nominator.

"Ms. Fleming witnesses the needs of her students, and not just within the field of academics, but in real-life applications. She gave students an opportunity to make money to assist with personal needs and learn financial literacy, all while providing an atmosphere in which children could gain a strong work ethic while being creative," said the nominator.

"I have witnessed Latoya Fleming work alongside her students to achieve success. One of her students successfully graduated with the class of 2024. She shared with Ms. Fleming the positive impact she has had on her life, one in which valuable lessons were taught. This student shared with Ms. Fleming about how she helped her and gave her an opportunity. This student ended her tribute by letting Ms. Fleming know that she will not forget the lessons or opportunities she provided her inside and outside the classroom. Latoya Fleming also partnered with the ARPA-Wrap Around Program and allowed another opportunity to work for her business," said the nominator.

"Ms. Fleming recognizes that financial opportunities are limited for students; she often reflects on how life was for her as a student coming from a single-parent household, so she prides herself in giving within the classroom and outside the classroom," said the nominator.
