Music that Describes Loribeth

Loribeth Mau was nominated by her principal, Dolores Munoz.

"Mrs. Mau has been an outstanding cheerleader for all her students. She is one of the most dedicated teachers I have had the honor to work with in my 32 years in education. Mrs. Mau leads by example and advocates for her students and our little school. She has selflessly given her time to work with parents after school. She leads workshops for parents who want to learn how to support their children at home. Mrs. Mau always has additional parent conferences at the beginning of the year to learn more about her students' home lives and challenges to meet their needs better," said Munoz.

"Mrs. Mau is a member of our Wellness Team and supports our SEL program by modeling what we learn. She also coordinates our Buddy Partners and reaches out to our teachers to pair them up as Buddies, allowing our students to work with another class and develop bonds that support reading and human connection. Mrs. Mau's standout quality is bringing out the best in all she touches. Mrs. Mau is always ready to serve and support," said Munoz.

Congrats!!Mrs. Mau. You deserve to be recognized for your dedication to your student, you go above and beyond every year. Your dedication especial thru covid when you dropped off supplies, reward, treat and would check in meant everything to my son that was struggling. Your kindness, and enthusiasm is contagious Thank-you for giving the kids new experience with the trips and all the activities you plan for them. Good luck Mrs Mau!

Thank you Ms. Mau for going above and beyond for the students at Robert Hill Lane, including those who are not in your classroom. It’s so awesome that you take the learning outside of the classroom such as hands-on educational trips to the Los Angeles River. Your commitment and efforts are very much appreciated.

You are an outstanding teacher. You have been a huge inspiration to me. I wish everyone could see all the work you do, the extra hours you put in, and the dedication and love you have for each one of the students at Lane. This is well deserved. I couldn't think of anyone better. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our kids. We need more teachers like you!

Although Mrs. Mau was not my daughters teacher, she connected and helped with the other 6th grade students. She is pleasant and truly cares about all the students at Robert Hill Lane.

Ms. Mau was my son's 6th grade teacher on her first year of teaching at Robert Hill Lane. Her courage, enthusiasm and dedication helped shape my son to become confident and academically enthusiastic- so much that he was encouraged to become president in his school's council. Throughout their year, Ms. Mau brought out the fun in learning. We are so thankful that she is a part of our family in Robert Hill Lane.
