Tracy McCrea was nominated by a parent, Katerine Perez.
Ms. McCrea is like a second mother to Perez' sons. They have not only found a friend in her, but a guide and a helper who will take the time to make sure they have anything they need to succeed. Whether it's home or school-related, Ms. McCrea has been there to listen, offer advice, encourage them, give them a hug, or to be stern when they need it.
"Thanks to her and to the wonderful ESE dept at South Fork High School, my boys are in all mainstream classes and on the right path for them to obtain a regular high school diploma. I will forever be grateful to her for taking care of my sons and ensuring their wellbeing in and out of school," Perez said.
