Children are her focus; how she encourages them, enriches them with knowledge, and prepares them for their futures. Her goals and ambitions extend beyond the classroom to the depths of each student to enlighten them in an encouraging, positive and passionate way! Her goals are to continuously improve student engagement, increase academic rigor, and create a school climate and culture that leads to the success of all learners. In other words, she strives to create an environment that exemplifies everything she believes a school should be. She opens her door to share her methods with other educators in the hopes that they, too, will do the same. She prides herself in being committed to fostering a dynamic, energetic, and passionate learning environment where every child is valued, challenged, loved, and nurtured.

We all have teachers and individuals that made a difference in our lives in a positive way. I have known Christin all her life and understand her mine set. Christin wants to be successful, and for her to achieve success as a teacher an a individual the children she teaches have to succeed. For Christin it is not enough for some to progress to their goals she wants every single child to reach their maximum potential. She is patient, but demanding. She is kind but forceful. She is there to help her students be and do their best. By doing so it sets a standard for their future and by doing so she helps them change their lives in a positive manner.

I have known this young lady since she was a toddler. She is very deserving of this honor. She has brought so much life to Vancleave school district. The children all love her and she makes every day magical for these children. I watch her wear some of the sweetest, cutest outfits to keep her classes interested in learning. I see nothing but enthusiasm out of her. Most people do not remember many of their teachers but the ones I do remember was my first and second grade teachers that made such a influence on my life. I know her family very well and they have instilled in her the importance of being the best at anything you do.
