Dr. Quentin Lee was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Dr. Lee is an outstanding leader, friend, confidant, principal, and comforter! Parents from his school requested and that he be transferred to their school because of his proven track record of making a mind-blowing difference among students, faculty, staff, and community wherever he goes.  Students were squealing about how they could not wait for school to begin this year. They were able to view their principal as he worked tirelessly late into the midnight hours to prepare for them and welcome them back home in August.  These children are quick to say, "Every student should have a Dr. Lee experience!"

At Childersburg High School, there are rooms for students to enter when they have excelled.  Students belong to houses, which are similar to sororities and fraternities, where they have numerous teachers and staff at their disposal for assistance and guidance.  There is a comfort and calming room for students who are having personal issues, such as the recent loss of a parent.

Dr. Lee's family consists of a wife, two daughters, and a son; they are helping at the school in any way they can.  His daughter was at school this summer decorating teachers' doors! The building looked so welcoming and inviting when the students entered.

Dr. Lee has also instituted Tiger Night, a night when students, parents, and faculty and staff came together for introductions and to pick up schedules.  He even arranged for his teachers to take a tour of students' neighborhoods.

"It was fascinating for the students to see us, wave at us and scream out to us as we passed by them," said the nominator. "It showed that we cared! Already, eighth grade students from the Childersburg Middle School are looking forward to next year."

"Dr. Lee is a providence, one who electrifies all that he touches," the nominator continued. "It is a shame that not every school can have Dr. Lee at the helm; while other schools would be frantically searching for teachers, the school where he would be would have a mile-long waiting list of teachers eager for the opportunity to have their careers under his guiding, knowing, and loving hand!  He is an outstanding LifeChanger!"

Dr.lee,Mrs. Rodgers and Mrs. Reed at CHS has impacted my life so much. With their inspiration, I have hope that I have a great future ahead of me. Without them, I would still have failing grades and not really have anything to look forward to. I thank them for helping make CHS a better place than it was before they came. They are hopeful and full of joy even though this pandemic and still working hard. Thank yall for making me a better person yall are life changers Thank you so much. :)

Dr. Quentin Lee, I have never written anything in a comment section before, this my first time, but I just had to. You remind me of my husband, along with my science teachers Mr. Rogers and Miss Hall. They are all amazing teachers and one of the main reasons. I became a teacher. Mr. Rogers and Miss Hall told my mother that they saw more than a quiet and shy girl from El Salvador. Instead they saw a girl who was strong and had a special spark inside. The only reason I mention this is because you see that special spark in each and everyone of your students. When my husband came across your video and sent it to me, I was so blown away. Although, I have never met or worked with you personally, I know that you are an amazing Principal & Human Being. We need more Educators like you.....more Life Changers. Thank you for being you. Sincerely, Mariaelena

Good evening Dr. Lee, I am a resident in South Florida. I was watching NBC's Nightly News this evening and it made a brief mention of your video, It definitely peaked my interest so I decided to watch it on YouTube. I want to truly commend you for taking the time to make such a funny and informative video! Not only is it entertaining in light of the current pandemic situation but also very educational which is what we really need. It has brought smiles not only to me, your fellow educators, faculty members, and students, but also for parents, and people in general through the country. Thank you so much for sharing that video and for your overall continued hard work. Please know as a parent, I truly appreciate all the hard work you and all of our educators put forth in our children. Dear Dr. Lee, Bravo, In times of great social chaos and disruption, you shine your light on what is important and meaningful. With intelligence, creativity, and humor you show us how to be proactive and positive not negative and reactionary. You are a true model for how professional educators should approach the coming challenges. As an attorney who has practiced education law for many years, I cannot praise you enough!

Hi Dr. Lee. My name is Mike Alessandroni and I, too, SERVE as a school principal in Pennsylvania. I was moved by your video and thought that I could share mine with you as well (for your viewing pleasure). We are in some weird time, brother, and doing all that we can to thrive, not just survive, during these unprecedented times. I am sure that we are about the same age and so I am sure this beat and lyrics will be very familiar to you as well. Enjoy the video and stay well, my friend: YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9UwRn4Kq0c Most Respectfully, Mike Alessandroni Principal- NMS Principal- What I do Father/Husband- Who I am

My children are currently in the eighth grade at Childersburg Middle School. I pray that Dr. Lee will still be the principal at the high school while they are in attendance. I sincerely feel that Dr. Lee is an inspiration to students, staff and to the community. He loves what he does and it radiates from the inside and shines on the outside. He deserves every award for which he is nominated and every accolade that he receives. Best of luck, Dr. Lee!

I met Quentin Lee in college at Alabama A&M University and he was an upstanding guy then and he's only proven to be even better now. He deserves the very best in life because he gives the best of himself effortless and makes students and parents love him because he sees them and meets them where they are to take them higher. He's definitely a great leader and more than deserving of this award.

I have known Dr. Quentin Lee for about the last eleven years. During this time, I have know his focus to be about helping those around him to excel in any way possible. His desire to see young people from all economic classes become the best that they can be seems to be his passion. Dr. Lee has always aimed to lead by example. In my opinion Dr. Lee is above reproach. He lives his life for Christ, his family, and the students he serves. Getting a quality education is of utmost importance to Dr. Lee. He always looks for ways to improve things within his power in the education system for which he serves. I have known Dr. Lee’s wife Anita since 1998, when she was just a middle school student. Anita’s father and I both served in the United Stated Army. Dr. Quentin Lee is and always will be a LifeChanger!

I am a very proud former elementary teacher of Quentin J. Lee. I knew, even at that early age, that he was destined to do great things and I have seen him grow into an amazing, wonderful, caring, compassionate educator/leader with a huge passion for his school/career and his family. I can think of no one more deserving of the LifeChanger Award than Dr. Lee!

From the day I first interviewed with Dr. Lee, I knew I wanted to work with him. I was blessed to be the school counselor and work side-by-side with him for 2 years. His passion for education is contagious. He does not understand the word NO when it comes to getting what he wants for his ‘kids’. Working with him changed my entire outlook on education and what is possible, he is truly a LifeChanger.

As an educator for over 15 years, I can say that I have never met a man as dedicated to young people than Dr. Quentin Lee. He is an amazing leader who impacts young people in a positive way daily. I really wish he could serve as the Secretary of Education for the United States because his vision for young people should be bottled in placed in every school in America. I support this nomination and agree that he is an extraordinary Life Changer.
