Mr. Dunkin is a retired United States Navy Master Chief Petty Officer and a dedicated teacher in the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC). He has been an instructor for ten years, and his positive impact on his students is noteworthy. Mr. Dunkin has a genuine concern for the overall well-being of his students, and they thrive under his guidance. He teaches 9th grade students, and he has a life changing impact on them as they start their high school careers.
"I have seen many times how the students he teaches seek him out for guidance throughout their time at Colts Neck High School. In the NJROTC Program, we teach our cadets to live by the Navy's Core Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment," Penczak said. "Mike Dunkin is a living example of those values. He is a life-changing teacher."
