Deborah Holbrook was nominated anonymously.

"Three words to describe Mrs. Holbrook are dedicated, caring, and humble," said the nominator. "She has been available to support students in the classroom and their life struggles. She is their teacher, confidant, and biggest cheerleader."

"She goes far beyond the 8-4 hours of the job. She works ballgames, cheers for the students at events, and spends hours decorating hallways so they are a bit brighter and more encouraging for students. She spends time after school and in the evenings supporting and encouraging new teachers," said the nominator.

"She earned her basic teaching degree, then continued for her Master's degree, and is now working toward her Rank I. She is a wife, sister, teacher, student, and mother. Yet, she is so much more! She sets a high standard of morals for herself.  Now that she teaches, she sets an example for her students in and outside the classroom.  She wants them to succeed academically but wants even more for her students to be good people.," said the nominator.

"She is a constant reminder of the emotional and moral support necessary to hold a family together. I can only imagine how important that is for the students in her classroom.  I know several students refer to her as their second Mom and others as her Aunt," said the nominator.
