Loretta McClure was nominated by a parent of a student, Aimee Fuller.

"Loretta McClure's mission is to teach her students to find their voices by connecting them to people in their community, and she loves her job! She teaches and empowers the students in her special education classes with love and appropriate expectations for their growth and success. She was instrumental in implementing the Unified Sports program, connected to the Special Olympics, in her school and district. This program allows students with special needs to experience teamwork and build self-confidence. My son is lucky enough to be part of her class and sports teams, and it has changed his life for the better," said Fuller.

"Mrs. McClure is a LifeChanger because she cares deeply about her students and their needs. She gives so much of herself, well beyond her contract, to ensure each student thrives. Mrs. McClure advocates for everyone by connecting students to the community through multiple field trips each month. She is a team player with a heart of gold! During IEP meetings, she shows that she cares for each student and designs a customized schedule and program to support them.  The Alpine School District is lucky to have her, as is the entire teaching profession," said Fuller.
