Ms. Reed is a dedicated elementary school teacher who loves her students.
"She tries each year to reach each child with a meaningful learning experience," said Newton.
In addition, she is active in her community and works with her local worship leaders. She is also working to start a charity organization to assist abused and neglected children. Taking Responsibility for Our Youth (TROY) is a nonprofit she has started to reach out to children who are overlooked by society. TROY is named in honor of a seven-year old who tragically died at the hands of his abuser. TROY seeks to speak for those who have no voice and are overlooked.
