Priscilla Jones was nominated Julia Graves, a colleague.

Ms. Jones is a third-year teacher who pours her whole heart into what she does. She is very passionate and goes the extra mile when creating lessons for her students. She is always striving to use all the resources and talents she has at her disposal to ensure her students have what they need to be successful in both their academics and life.

"My favorite activity I observed was the food truck activity. Ms. Jones had all the students bring in boxes, and they decorated them like the countries they were talking about. The next day, they could bring in food relating to that country. I will also say her parents had nothing but positive things to say about her in the way she makes learning and teaching fun. Watching  Ms. Jones and her passion these three years, I have no doubt she will be more amazing in the years to come. She is undoubtedly great and deserving of this award," said Graves.

Ms. Jones is the perfect nominee! She is a dedicated, fun loving teacher! She values every student that graces her doorway and even the ones who don’t. Her strategies and approaches to learning are AMAZING! I love the way she acknowledge every culture and incorporate them into their lessons/activities. Sixth grade is already a challenge all by itself, but it really takes some of the load off when you have a teacher who genuinely cares for students and want to see them succeed. Sometimes that includes teaching the same material, with just a different approach. A way that every student can understand and execute. That is Ms. Jones!!! She’s absolutely PHENOMENAL at her job and has a heart of GOLD!! Definitely a LifeChanger and well deserved!!!

Ms. Jones, has had an impact so many sixth graders. She teaches with love and compassion with the children. She show them the love and care in her teaching and help them to learn the thing in Social Studies. She takes them places through her teaching that they would have not been. That's why I believe she should be chosen.
