Leah Cull was nominated by a student.

"One of the main reasons I've passed high school is because I've always had someone who's got my back, helping me, pushing me, pressuring me to pass high school at Arrowhead. Mrs. Cull has always helped me out when needed," said the student.

"I first met her by going to talk to a friend. Finding the room, then walking in and she immediately greeted me with a smile. She welcomed me warmly and asked me if I was looking for something or someone. Then I found my friend, and we left the room. Again, later on, we crossed paths and she remembered my name. Greeting me with yet another warm hello. Something so simple that takes little effort can change the future, and make someone smile," said the student.

"We now have a great relationship with Mrs. Cull—me and my friends chat with her daily, and have even shared some of our outside life. We feel as if we can be honest, and share private things with Mrs. Cull. From the snacks, jokes, and great conversations, Mrs. Cull is a great teacher and human being," said the student.

"I've had some down days, and every time I walk into her room, she is always there to chat, and cheer me up. She’s never failed to put a smile on my face. I believe some of her ways come from her being a mom, and taking care of two kids. She brings a little bit of that to school caring for each individual kid as if it was her own. Making us feel welcomed at all times," said the student.

"This is my last year, and she's kept me on track better than any teacher I've ever had. And it's crazy cause she does this with a bunch of kids! Pretty impressive if you ask me. Along with knowing each and everyone's situation. Mrs. Cull is truly one of a kind," said the student.

"She takes more than just school into the matter, she looks at the bigger picture, from things at home, work, and school. Truly put everything into the equation and then giving her best possible effort to make a kid get through high school. Mrs. Cull is kind, relaxed, understanding, patient, helpful, good with plans, and many more traits. Thanks Mrs. Cull. You're one of the best teachers I've ever had," said the student.
