"Maybe that's because you teach my favorite class, Woods, or maybe it is because you teach Woods that it is my favorite class," the student noted.

"It's always cool to learn how to use different materials, how hydraulics work, and how to find IMA in the engineering block at the end of the day that you co-teach," he shared.

Reflecting on his personal growth, this student acknowledged that before encountering Mr. Schlitt, he lacked passion and motivation outside of hockey.
"It had been some time since I felt passionate or motivated to put a lot of effort into anything–outside of hockey–and I have you to thank," he acknowledged.
He credited the Woods class for providing him with clarity and focus, which translated into a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm for his studies.
"When I'm in your Woods class, I feel like I know what I'm supposed to be doing," he confessed.
Despite moments of misbehavior, such as leaving class early or exhibiting excessive curiosity during experiments, the student recognized Mr. Schlitt's dedication to maintaining a disciplined learning environment.
"I know that you're not very happy with me sometimes," he admitted, recalling instances of being reprimanded for disruptive behavior.
He expressed remorse for causing trouble, emphasizing that his curiosity and eagerness sometimes led him astray. Looking ahead, the student eagerly anticipated continuing his educational journey under Mr. Schlitt's guidance, expressing excitement about future classes and projects.
"I'm excited for next year when I get to take cabinetmaking, and you're stuck with me for another year," he remarked.
Ultimately, this student's positive experiences in Mr. Schlitt's classes fueled his enthusiasm for pursuing manufacturing and engineering courses in the upcoming academic year.

The student emphasized Mr. Schlitt's approachability, noting their perceptive ability to offer help when needed.
Recalling a moment of confusion during a woodworking project, the student appreciated Mr. Schlitt's timely guidance, which enhanced his woodworking skills and boosted his confidence in seeking support from other teachers. "Somehow, you can always tell when I'm just not having a good day, yet you never criticize me," he acknowledged.

"Ever since the first day in your class, I have always been excited to go to Woods I and, now, Woods II," he affirmed.
