"Kimberly is a LifeChanger because she goes above and beyond with each and every project. She puts her students first and ensures that she advocates for them each day. For door decorating contests, she works long hours to ensure that her students have the most colorful and interactive doors in order to help enhance their learning. From buying clothes for her students in need to providing encouragement in the classroom, Kimberly impacts these children daily," said the nominator.

"She is the most selfless human being. After experiencing tragedy and losing her own parents to gun violence just one year ago, she plans her trips around school days. As she states, 'My students need me and I worry for them when I am away. They depend on me.' Even when handed unfortunate cards, Kimberly takes them in stride and still shows up for her students," said the nominator. "She is their voice and she is strong!"
