"Amber cares about her students, and they know it. She gets to know them and talks to them when she sees them in the hall. Amber knows what is happening in their lives. Amber attends their sporting events and is their loudest cheerleader, but she doesn't sugarcoat things. Amber helps them see what they can do to improve their academic and extracurricular lives. Her classroom is not only a safe and fun place for her students, but it is also a hive of learning. Amber pushes her students because she knows they are capable of so much. Her students rise to the challenge because they have the support and know she believes in them," said the nominator.
"Amber is not only an amazing teacher but also a great Language Arts department chair and instructional coach. She advocates for the teachers in the language arts department and is constantly checking in with them to ensure they have the tools they need to succeed in their classrooms. She promotes positive collaboration within her department and delegates to empower other teacher leaders. Amber is instrumental as an instructional coach. She guides our new teachers as they navigate what they need to know about Bingham High School. She provides them with resources they need and is the first person people turn to when they need help at Bingham High School," said the nominator.
