Music that Describes Beth

Beth Bishop was nominated anonymously.

"Three words to describe Beth are consistent, caring, and cheerful," said the nominator. "Beth is the go-to person at Ryan High School. She handles timesheets and ensures everyone gets paid on time. She submits work orders for anything needing repair at the school. She makes announcements when things out of the ordinary happen to keep staff and students informed."

"Beth ensures every teacher knows which students are on the approved field or game trips well before the events. She manages the campus schedule for all extracurricular activities, ensuring access will be granted. Beth sets automatic door locks and unlocks for campus safety. She is key control for everyone working at Ryan High School," said the nominator.

"Beth trains at least two vocational office education students each year. Former students have gone into the military, had storied careers, and received job offers from the school district," said the nominator.

"The playlist describes Ryan High School because of Beth- she works hard to ensure every staff member and student has what they need daily. In Karen Carpenter's words, we are on top of the world because of Beth's daily persistence. She's the best there is," said the nominator.

Whatever students or staff need, Beth knows who to refer them to.

Beth takes care of her people, that is for sure. On top of her many responsibilities she somehow finds time to check in with staff, offer words of support, and has a heart for service. At any given point you could find a line out her door of students or staff eager for some wisdom from the woman that has been taking care of us all for a long time.

From the moment I met her and she insisted that I call her Beth, I knew I had met a kindred spirit. Beth is kind, nurturing and protective of the staff at Ryan. She also loves the students. She has a very giving and generous heart. She is one of the shining lights that makes Ryan HS a special place.

Beth Bishop is definitely an outstanding leader that we all count on for things to run smoothly at at Ryan HS. Her experience and knowledge about who to talk to to get things done, her caring and helpful attitude when we need a last minute substitute due to illness, her interest in us as people and our private lives, as well as her efficiency to help us when the heat or AC are out in our classrooms; these are just some of the reasons that Beth is an outstanding candidate.

Beth is simply the very best at who she is personally and professionally. She supports not only the staff but the students as well. She pours herself into everyone around her. We are all better at what we do and how we do it, because of her influence. The student assistants she "hires and trains" each year learn more than just procedures from her, they learn the heart of an organization, and have gone on to thrive in their own lives from that knowledge. She positively impacts every person she meets, and has every single year she has served as the principal's administrative assistant at Ryan High School.

The compassion Beth has for the people on our campus is inspiring. She cares SO much, and when my spouse had cancer a few years ago, Beth supported me and guided me through what I needed to do for FMLA, as well as helping me set up a regular sub for when I needed to be out. Her kind smiles always brighten my day, and I know that if I have a question about the building or a school policy, Beth is the one with the answer.
