Henrietta is my childhood cousin, we're the same in age and l've always looked up to her. She showed so much strength and knew what she wanted to be in life. First of all she showed her love for God. Because of her authentic love for God it made her journey to care and love other effortless.
For Henrietta to be chosen as a Lifechanger is not surprising to me, because whatever she did someone was postively impacted. Her smile and sweet words are contagious...you can't leave having a positive conversation with her without wanting to share what you've learned with other. You too will leave her with that same smile and warm heart that she possess.
I know some of the trials that should've held her back, but instead they made her resilient and stronger. I myself have described her as a women of pillar strength. A Lifechanger she is because her strength stands tall and can be seen by other in the distance. I love you for not hiding your light.

Ms. Harris is a new edition to the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Department. As her lead, I have observed her jump right into her new role, showcasing her expertise when she works with her students. She is passionate about reading and it shows during her lessons. Her students are both motivated and challenged by her every day. They are showing growth in reading, which is the goal of our department. Ms. Harris is a great asset to our department and is truly a life changer.
I am truly grateful and blessed to have Ms. Harris as a colleague. It’s my first year teaching in a foreign land and she welcomes me warmly with her bright smile and ecstatic personality. She’s a great teacher who has a positive and growth mindset. She is goal-oriented and work hard miles beyond for her students to reach their optimum level of potential. Henrietta is one of the most concerned person for others who I've ever met. She took control of our two grandchildren ages nine and ten and entertained them as though they were her own children.
We were comfortable knowing that they were in good company with our cousin Henrietta although they were not accustomed to her. As an early childhood educator myself we observed her character and she portraited all our concerns.
They felt safe and secure in company of their cousin in the unknown city of Dallas Texas.

I've known Henreitta Price all my life and she has always exemplified the top utmost qualities of a great human being a great daughter, mother, auntie, sister. For me she is my aunt one I love dearly! As kids she was always big on education getting us books and other educational gifts we actually looked forward too. Alot of her siblings are the same its a testament to her upbringing but thats not to take anything away from her she definitely still stands out. I have heard stories about her achievements and im elated about them all want to say thank you for all you do for the youth and im sure they want you to continue in your educational and advocational roles.... It all began with Henrietta’s parents, Rufus and Mennie Harris, who exuded a kind, God-fearing and gracious spirit. As a teenager Henrietta had a ”glow” about her that had a positive impact on all those around her. Henrietta’s kind and gracious spirit has continued to glow as she navigates life. Henrietta exhibits professionalism in whatever task she undertakes. She continues to positively influence the lives of people wherever she goes.
The few time I have encountered being around Henrietta, she has always been nice and positive. I'm a person of very few words but Henrietta makes you feel welcome and she communicate with you in a manner that you feel comfortable communicating back with her. "Never Let Them See You Sweat” and "Boot Up (or get ready for battle)” are phrases commonly used and ones that describe Henrietta best. She does not make excuses, and she readily takes on challenges, both big and small. I remember one Sunday at Services, I saw Ms. Henrietta with Army Fatigues on, I said, I thought Ms. Henrietta was at State. No, someone said, a few obstacles got in her way, so she is doing what a girl’s got to do, keep moving forward. I said, wow, nothing is going to stop that young lady from achieving her goals. Yes, Ms. Henrietta served her country in the United States Army. That was a life changer for me. In describing Henrietta as a LifeChanger, who happens to be my sister. She is a leader, ambitious, a hard worker, and full of energy. Henrietta has a passionate heart for teaching others the importance of learning. As siblings growing up together, she would convert the garage into a mini classroom during the summer breaks. She was the teacher, my youngest sister, my niece, some neighborhood kids and I were her students. In her teaching role, she always made sure we knew she was the teacher, and we gave her that respect. I am proud of her accomplishments, perseverance, and her dedication to her students, parents, and the community. I thank her and live her for her support in my journey as an educator. Those lessons in hot garage paid off.

My sister Henrietta has been a “LifeChanger” her whole life. Her life’s purpose unfolded as a child. She taught herself to draw by using mail order lessons; she taught her younger siblings and her niece to read by “playing” school.
As a teenager, Henrietta overcame her shyness by involving herself in singing in front of an audience during high school musical performances and church singing performances. She used her singing talent to help her nieces and nephews prepare to sing at family gatherings. Henrietta incorporated Musical Therapy in the classroom to help her students focus and stay on task.
Additionally, Henrietta frequently took her two children with her to minister to patients in nursing homes and hospitals. They sang songs, talked with care recipients, gave physical care and comfort and care packages.
As an adult, Henrietta faced many adversities. She turned her trials into triumphs; her setbacks into successes. Henrietta impacted many women at her former church with her stories of victory. She counseled people in the community who were facing their own adversities. She used her life’s lessons to inspire, to motivate, to influence, to affect positive outcomes in the lives of her family, friends, and community.
Those refinements that Henrietta made throughout her life set her on a path that allowed her to be an effective LifeChanger who has changed the trajectory of the lives of many. I personally am inspired by my sister! She has made a difference in my life.

She has customized sensory therapy for nonspeaking toddler diagnosed with spectrum of autism; she has provided intervention models such white noise and safe space therapy for children diagnosed with emotional disturbances; she has counseled women experiencing domestic violence with successful outcomes. And foremost, she often volunteers her knowledge and skills in various community mentoring projects for underrepresented at risk youths with low education attainment. Henrietta is a consummate servant of her profession and to those she serves.

Henrietta has been a tremendous help in advancing the reading capabilities of my daughter. She has supplied us with a plethora supplies and advice that we have utilized to help my 2nd grader raise her reading level from kindergarten level to 2nd grade level where she should be. This has instilled confidence in my daughter that is helping her growth in reading. Henrietta has continued to check in and selflessly supply us with more tools that have helped. The things I’ve learned from Henrietta I’ve been able to transfer to my younger children to help them get ahead as well. I will always be grateful for her support!

When we were roommates in college, she was always trying to help other fellow students, even though she had a heavy workload herself. And, today, she is still that same selfless person, always trying to make situations better for others. For example, when my daughter was offered her first job (away from home in the Dallas area) out of college, Henrietta provided housing in her home and treated my daughter like she was one of her own children. For that, I am very thankful! Henrietta is definitely a life-changer!
