Music that Describes Terence
Terence Davis was nominated by a family member, Arlinda Davis.
"It is both an honor and a privilege to nominate Reverend Terence James Davis for LifeChanger of the Year. He is the epitome of a LifeChanger, a game changer, and a wonderful influencer for our youth. Reverend Davis is a retired veteran with over 25 years of service in the United States of America. He became a minister and served where his heart is the biggest, as the youth pastor. Rev. Davis has the biggest heart and love for encouraging and supporting our children. He became a custodian at Bryant Park Elementary before the pandemic, and when students returned to school, his main priority was keeping them safe," said Arlinda.
"He believes in the students having a safe and loving environment and taking pride in their learning environment. His talents don't just lend themselves to creating a fabulous atmosphere but to sharing his knowledge with students. He reads to classrooms and has often worked with teachers on outdoor classroom projects and lessons. Students often deal with things and need a smile, a pat on the back, a word of encouragement, or just knowing someone cares," said Arlinda.
"Reverend Davis is that person. Teachers, parents, and staff often brag about his ability to transform a day or how wonderful he is! The Jefferson County Board of Education has recognized him for his work and engagement with the students and community. He truly has the highest moral and ethical standards, and it shows in his work history and dedication. He deserves to be called a LifeChanger because he has and is still leaving his mark on youth nationwide. After leaving his school daily, he loves and supports his beautiful children and grandchildren. During the week and weekend, he extends himself to his church community and their youth, giving whatever love and support they need to become successful adults. He will always be a superhero to me because he may not leap tall buildings, but he leaps tall with problems. He can't lift a locomotive with one hand, but he can lift children's hearts, minds, and spirits. He can't stop a bullet with his teeth, but he can speak the most amazing words and give the most amazing smile that will stop anyone from having a bad day," said Arlinda.
