Stephanie Mendez was nominated by her principal, Myrna Lopez.
"Ms. Mendez has been part of Tornillo PK-8 School for over eight years," said Lopez. "Although she is an amazing art teacher to our PK-6 grade students, she is also the gifted and talented coordinator, science fair coordinator, fine arts lead, and homecoming chair for the elementary school. Ms. Mendez is also a mentor teacher who works hard to inspire the next generation of teachers. Ms. Mendez is an amazing teacher who has positively impacted so many of our lives. We are tremendously lucky that Ms. Mendez is part of our school! She is so loved by so many in the community!"
