Angelo Auriemmo was nominated by a colleague.
"We are extremely fortunate to have 'Mr. Angelo' as a member of our school staff," said the nominator. "Not only do he and his team maintain the cleanliness of our school impeccably, but they always make us feel safe and well-cared for. Mr. Angelo's leadership skills are evident in the way he manages his team, and his presence is warmly felt throughout the day. In addition to his cleaning duties, he goes above and beyond to help with our various events. Whether it be the Friendsgiving parade, the holiday singalong, or multicultural week, Mr. Angelo is always willing to assist and even dress up in costumes! His cheerful and approachable demeanor is appreciated by everyone in the building, making him a valuable coworker that we can always depend on."
Angelo is the best! He makes sure that we have all that we need and he does it will a smile or joke! We all love Angelo and we are thankful that he is part of Signal Hill!

When I asked my daughter (first grade) who Mr. Angelo was, her face lit up with a smile from ear to ear. She replied "He is so silly mom, he is always making us laugh." If that doesn't say who he is, nothing does. Mr. Angelo goes above a beyond to participate in school events, dressing up and "being silly" which in turn, brightens up the daily lives of the students at Signal Hill. Thank you Mr. Angelo :)

Angelo is the absolute best!
A true gentleman who’s always ready to help most of that always love kids and respect them.
No one deserves this award more than Angelo. I’ve been at Signal Hill for seven years now and since day one Angelo’s presence has been felt by all. He’s always in the right place at the right time. He has the answers to all the questions. He’s personable. He’s respectful. He goes the length to make the students and his colleagues smile even on the hardest days. Angelo has been and always will be the most memorable and impressionable faculty member at SH.
Thank you to Mr. Angelo for his hardwork, commitment and positive spirit to the Signal Hill community! We are so lucky to have someone care as much as he does!

As a first time committee chair for the PTA, Angelo is always there to help with any questions I have or to provide the materials I need to get the job done!
We love Angelo in 110A. He is always helpful and we enjoy great conversations. We love his positivity and how he participates in spreading the excitement during special occasions with all of his accessories. The kids love him!
Angelo’s cheerful disposition and can do attitude in any situation is what makes him a life changer. He is always ready to lend a hand, a true gentleman who always helps when he sees a way that he can contribute meaningfully. Angelo makes everyone smile with a festive take on every celebration! Most of all he is such a positive influence on our children. We will miss him when we leave the school!
Angelo is so hard working, personable, and I absolutely love seeing him get dressed up for any themed event the school does! As a parent and PTA Member he has helped us get ready for all our events and last minute things that pop up at a moments notice. He is a humble guy that deserves this life changer recognition!

Angelo it’s simply the best custodian and person. He is a wonderful hardworking employee, keeping our school clean and safe for our kids.
He always has such an amazing attitude and cares so much about everybody .
He also goes above and beyond to help the PTA with events even if he has to stay overtime . The kids at Signal Hill love him and even after moving up to an another school (like my son) they always want to go back to SH to say “hi”to him.
He remembers every child. Always with a smile on his face and with the best sense of humor. We, parents, children, and also coworkers love Angelo.

Angelo is an amazing colleague. He is always there to help out when something is amiss in my classroom. He has often helped to repair furniture in my room as well as fixing my paper jammed laminator ! Angelo does all of this with a positive attitude and is always up for a quick chat .
Angelo has an amazing sense of humor, community and school pride. He is the first one in a costume ( or wig) on special days and will often stop by classrooms for a photo shoot. He is a pleasure to work with and I enjoy having him as part of our Signal Hill team.
Angelo is simply the best. Not only is he a wonderful friend and colleague, but Angelo is also extremely knowledgable and hard-working. Although he has the responsibility of keeping the entire school running, Angelo NEVER appears stressed or overwhelmed. While there are hundreds of students, and a very large staff, I know that when I need Angelo's help, he is always right there. Thank you Angelo, not only for doing your job so well, but for creating a fun working environment! No one deserves this recognition more than you.

Angelo is absolutely amazing! He participates in all school functions besides doing everything he is asked to do from teachers, paraprofessionals, and monitors. He always has a smile on his face and a cheery Hello to the children. Oh yes, he gets his grueling job done from cleaning up (the whatevers) to setting up for school functions and putting everything back in place.
Angelo is very deserving of this nomination.
