Shelly Huffield was nominated by a colleague, Kiki Moses.
"Shelly is a rare breed, and I believe she's a trailblazer in that she is a woman leader who manages our entire facility from HVAC to Janitorial," said Moses. "Typically, you don't find women in these positions. She's been here for years, and we don't know what we'd do without her."
"She maintains a clean and safe environment for staff and students. She also has a 'get er done' attitude, which correlates to high efficiency. She is never off the clock; she will clock out, but it's common for staff to contact her after hours several times a week and even on the weekends. She always responds, even when on vacation. Shelly lives a couple blocks from the school, which is a blessing and a curse. She will run to the school at any time of day or night to resolve minor and serious issues," said Moses.
"Shelly is so fun to work with, too," said Moses.
Shelly makes my day better. Every morning she greets you with a smile and a positive attitude, along with a sparkling school. I have appreciated all her life insight and joining her on a wellness journey. Shelly is “good people” and the world needs more Shelly’s!
Shelly is just plain amazing. Her dedication to the kids and school is second to none! She has such attention to detail for the school and so very friendly to the kids. Cayuse is a better place with Mrs. Shelly as part of their family!!

Shelly has an amazing energy that pulls you in! She works hard with a smile on her face and, often times, before you can say, “hey, Shelly, can you…” she already has it done. It has been such a pleasure working alongside her. You deserve every bit of gratitude, Shelly! ??
Shelly is a awesome person. Does a great job at the school. Loves the kids. Nothing she can't do or fix. She's a great mom and grandmother. She's very deserving of this award.
Shelly is a rare gift. She is such a hard worker who gives 100% every single day. She is quick to help others, share a laugh, and make everyone feel welcome. Our school would not be the same without Shelly’s fun personality; commitment to keeping the school safe and looking its best; and the love she shows to students, staff, and community members.
Wow, where do I begin to give Shelly a 'shout out. With gratitude, I echo EVERYTHING that has been commented with regard to Shelly! She is simply the best and sets the bar so high in ALL that she accomplishes from day to day. Cayuse Prairie is so fortunate to have Shelly in the building, outside of the building, on top of the building, and every nook and cranny around the building!

Shelly Huffield is an amazing person, co-worker, friend, and a great support to our school. She is one of the hardest workers I know, and maintains a positive attitude in some of the most trying times at school! I have heard it said that no one is irreplaceable, but that is not true in the case of Miss Shelly! We would all be lost without her! She positively impacts the students, staff, and parents at Cayuse Prairie School EVERY DAY!
Shelly is one of the most amazing people I know. She is a very hard worker. She is the first one at school and is always on call. She is willing to do all the work that comes her way. She truly goes above and beyond for the school. She is also an amazing friend to the kiddos and staff. She always has a smile and a poster attitude. She is someone you can always count out. She is a true treasure.
I had the privilege of growing up with Shelley since Kindergarten. I can vouch that she has always had an outstanding work ethic, even as a young child and has spent most of her life taking care of others. So when I read this nomination of how selfless she is & how hard she works to take care of so many students and faculty, I was not surprised. There is no one more deserving of this honor.
Shelly has an amazing work ethic. She is a jack of all trades and helps keep our school going. I am so glad I get to work with Shelly. She has a wonderful personality and takes pride in everything she does. Thank you Shelly for all that you do!!
Shelly has such a big heart for our school and community. She is at the core of what makes our school a great place to be. She has a heart for our students and teachers and puts 100% into every thing she does. I am so thankful I can send my children to a school that has a Shelly there for them!
I cannot state enough how luck we are to have Shelly in our lives. She is a wonderful coworker, friend and leads by example. She has faced challenges head on, she has asked for help when she needs it and gives help when needed. Her superpower is helping others help themselves and gives real world tools and experiences to help everyone. We all are in awe of her ability to look at a problem and either fix it or ask for help and advice if needed. She enjoys what she does and her attitude it infectious. She definitely leads by example in all part of her life.
Shelly is the most fun loving, hard working woman I know.

I’ve know Shelly for over 20 years. She is loyal beyond measure, honest and trustworthy loving and supportive to her family and friends. When you hear “they’d give you the shirt off their back” well, Shelly would do exactly that! Then she’d run home and make you lunch and check up on you tomorrow to make sure you had a good night’s rest. She is just that kind of person! I am the lucky one to call her my friend!
I was excited to see this. I would have done it long ago if I had known about this. If anyone is a LifeChanger, it is Shelly in our children’s lives. When we entrust our children to be educated, empowered, and inspired, my only hope is that every school has a Shelly to provide that mentorship. Shelly is an example of what our children need when we learn by example on how to communicate, interact, and be successful. I am beyond thankful Shelly has provided those examples to my loved ones, whom we entrusted to her care and others while at Cayuse Praire School.
