"Over the past 14 years, Mrs. Harris has not only taught the technical nuances of welding but has kindled sparks of confidence, resilience, and passion in her students. Her commitment to providing after-school tutoring and summer enrichment sessions demonstrates her unwavering belief in every student's potential, and countless alumni attribute their success in the industry to her guidance," said Carroll.

Ms. Harris is a model teacher at Moss Point High School's CTE. Her self-motivation and determination in education is inspiring. Through teaching she ensures thorough understanding and encourages all students to be the absolute best they can be.
Ms.Harris has impacted my life by teaching me the science of welding and how to get ready for the real world after high school whether going into the workforce or going to college.

Ms.Harris is a wonderful teacher and loving prior to that she is always there for whatever it is. School related or not. I am glad I had the chance to spend this time with her.

MS. Harris is one of the best teachers in our CTE building she helps with our school work while we do her work. She makes sure we stay on top of our work and she also helps with anything we need
Mrs.Harris also known as my momma, The main person who has helped me in a lot and im not even in her class. She has taught me so much mostly self respect and self loved she helps me through so much when I need someone. I am so thankful for her and she is also in incredible role model to me and I look up to her. She is kind and well caring to me and others as well, She is also a reason why I love coming to school because I see her during 2nd block and visit her class every once in a while to recieve my hug, She also keeps me on a good path and always supports me and what I want to do in the future.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have Ms. Harris as a Team Member. She is always joyous and encouraging in even the most challenging work situations as she spreads sunshine on even the cloudy days especially when the Turkey Wings and Bread Pudding are brought to the table. Ms. Harris is truly an asset to any team she is a part of.

Ms. Harris has been an incredible mentor and role model for our young men and women this year. I am so thankful for her guidance and
dedication to our students. It is truly admirable, the time, patience and dedication to helping educate our students. I thank her for all the extra time on and off duty spent working with my child and others during competitions as well as classroom studies.
Her kind and caring nature has made a world of difference in my son’s attitude and his approach towards school. We are so proud and grateful to have her at MPHS.

Ms.harris has always been like a second mom to me. She keeps me on the right path to help me reach me career goal. She is also very kind and respectful to everyone she teach us how to be presentable on worksites and in public. And most of all she is my favorite teacher because she is always there to just listen and find a way to fix it when it's all said and done. WE the CTE loves her!!

Preparing students for life after school involves more than just teaching from a book. It involves encouraging, and molding students good behavior by setting the example. Another way to prepare a student for the outside world is to take a personal interest in that student. Mrs. Harris has done all of this for me, and more. Mrs. Harris imports knowledge of the welding trade, academics, and life in general. Mrs. Harris is always available to talk to students in rough times, to change negative energy into a positive mindset.
I feel that Mrs. Harris is the best candidate for the 2023 LifeChangers of the year award.
I would say that Ms.Harris is one of my favorite teachers out of this whole school she taught me things that i did know even when i still didn't understand it she had the patience to help me she even put her things aside just to help her students with things as well thats why Ms.harris is my favorite teacher.
Ms.Harris has given us so much advice on how Ingalls operates, how life is outside of school, and how it taught us to stay out of trouble. Without Ms.Harris we would've lost so many opportunities on what we would want to do in our career. Ms.Harris is very helpful in class and in welding. The way she teaches is very understanding because she breaks down everything so that some of the students that does not understand what she is saying or what she means can get it like the rest of the students.
