Robin Cole was nominated by a parent of a student, Jennifer Poole.
"Robin Cole started as my son's third-grade teacher in 2021 when schools reopened after the COVID shutdown," said Poole. "To say students were behind is an understatement. My son was testing well below grade level on state tests and struggled to get any grade above a C. I had started putting him in tutoring classes two days a week and met with Mrs. Cole a few times to see how to catch him up...Thanks to Mrs. Cole, my son not only started testing at grade level but also tested above grade level and even got accepted into the GATE program for fourth and fifth grade."
"If it wasn't for her patience, understanding, and unique teaching style, I could have never wished this for him," said Poole. "Now my son is excited to go to school and wants to be an engineer. He plans to attend MIT for college and has huge goals that she continues to help him meet. Mrs. Cole understood my son. She spent time with him, saw how his mind worked differently than other kids, and showed him how to succeed. She has forever changed his life and allowed him to be a successful student. We are forever grateful for her."
Robin Cole is an outstanding educator. I had the privilege of working with her and witnessing her passion for improving learning for all students. My son was also fortunate enough to have Mrs. Cole as her 3rd grade teacher. He still raves about Mrs. Cole 2 years later and brags about the content she taught him and how it continues to help him stay on track in his work. The academic rigor and attention to detail she uses when educating our youth sets them up for success for years to come. She is an educator that we all strive to be like and I am honored to know her.
I have had the pleasure of having Mrs. Cole as my daughter's Gate teacher for the past two years, and I have been consistently impressed by her dedication, creativity, and passion for teaching.
Mrs. Cole is a master at creating a classroom environment where all students feel safe, supported, and challenged. She has a deep understanding of each student's individual needs and learning styles, and she tailors her instruction accordingly.
Mrs Cole...where to begin...she is absolutely the best. She is kind, caring, loving and outstanding! She has brought my granddaughter to a completely new level with school. She encourages and teaches in such a way that makes the kids realize "they can do it!" She is like a family member in our household, talked about like a friend, and respected like the amazing person, teacher, and friend she is!!! Thank you Mrs. Cole for being YOU!! WE LOVE YOU!
Mrs. Cole was my third grade teacher and she is my favorite teacher and will always be! She has helped me grow and become the smart student I am today! She helps me whenever I need it, I can always talk to her about things that I don't understand in school. I can even tell her about school drama that I have experienced! She makes my school life wonderful and I am always excited to go to GATE and see her! I have known her for three years and she is the best! Mrs. Cole is always coming up with very fun things to do in GATE class, she even made up the school newspaper! She prepared me for fifth grade more than any other teacher could. She was taught me so much... Mrs. Cole is the best teacher I could ever ask for!
Not only is Ms. Cole a life changing educator, she is a life changing mother. I am absolutely blessed to have a mother as supportive and as devoted to my life as she is. I could not have been luckier to be raised by someone so passionate about my education and future. I have seen her throughout her entire career as an educator and she has that exact same passion for her students. It’s inspiring how effortlessly she cares for each individual student and their learning. She truly never runs out of the capacity to care and provide for others. From early mornings to late nights, my mom never seems to put in less than extraordinary effort towards her students, so I’m not even a little surprised by the wonderful comments left by others. I’m so happy to see that other children have had the experience of being taught and cared for by my mother and that there are parents who have had the relief of having my mom as their children’s teacher. As much of an impact that she has on the children, they definitely have the same impact on her. She has always come home from work with a new story and a smile on her face. I am so proud of you mom and so are a thousand others!
Mrs. Cole inspires me because she always motivates me to do my best. She encourages her students to use our creative minds and challenges us to try our hardest.
We deeply appreciate Mrs. Cole's passion for working with gifted children and her pragmatic approach in dealing with eccentricity. Treating students as individuals, letting them explore their passions, infusing enrichment into activities, flexible learning and more are all reasons we are so thankful for Mrs. Cole. We are so happy she has become an important part of our child's life (and, by extension, our family's as well). Thank you, Mrs. Cole!
Mrs. Cole is amazing! My son had her for 3rd grade and has been with her in GATE since 4th grade. All of four of my elementary kids love her even though only one has her as his GATE teacher. They’ve all developed a relationship with her. She is warm, caring, and loves working with children. We appreciate everything she has done to help our children succeed. She is definitely an asset at our school and hope she is here for a long time.
Robin Cole is a great colleague! She is always will to share outstanding resources and she has great experience! She is so passionate about what she does, and it's inspirational!
Mrs Cole is a fantastic teacher. Our daughter struggled during the pandemic and she was so fortunate to have Mrs Cole as her 3rd grade teacher. She was so patient and understanding and really helped identify where our daughter had problems and helped her so much. Our daughter now excels and is a much better student and I know Mrs Cole is a big reason why.
Ms. Cole has been an amazing GATE teacher! My daughter has loved all the interesting projects they work on. I'm so glad she's brought back the student newspaper with the GATE kids running it, and planning field trips and a t-shirt this year!
Robin Cole is a gem. As part of her extended family, I have had the pleasure of watching her grow as a teacher, mother and woman over the last 12 years. She is an inspiration in each category. I am so excited to see her name on this list!
Mrs. Cole is an outstanding teacher. She is so understanding and passionate about her students. She has taught my grandchildren as a classroom teacher and GATE. She has a special gift that children relate to her and she to them. Her compassion and kindness motivates them to be their best. She encourages her students to be all they can be. She has made a difference in so many children’s lives including my grandchildren. I am grateful that she has been part of molding their future success.
Mrs. Cole not only changed the way my son learned math but helped to teach me as his mom new ways to look at math. She is so engaged in her students education she really meets them where they are. It doesn’t matter if they are ahead or behind she makes sure to challenge them. Our son was lucky to have her in 3rd grade and we believe she is the teacher he will look back on and say she changed his life. As a HUGE bonus we really hit the lottery when she became his Gate teacher the last 2 years! We are so grateful to have her to influence and guide his learning.
She wears many hats at our school from being one of the student council leads, to taking care of the school Tortoise Rocky. She is always using these opportunities to teach the students even when they do not realize they are learning. I constantly tell her she is my favorite educator because she manages to do it all with such positivity! She creates such unique educational experiences for her students. I often hear my son say well I know this so I started there when working on something new and these are words she used over and over with him. Mrs. Cole is the best of the best!
Robin mentored me in my first year of teaching and I never would have made it through that year if it weren’t for her. She was always more than happy to share her knowledge, expertise, and resources with me. Her encouragement and uplifting spirit kept me going every time I wanted to give up. I felt like she wanted me to succeed as a teacher just out of the kindness of her heart. To this day, Robin always takes the time to help me become better at what I do.
Robin has positively impacted the lives of so many students. Every day she pours so much into the kids and everyone else around her. She literally does the work of an angel as if it’s nothing. Her friendship and mentorship have made a huge difference in my life. I’m incredibly thankful for this amazing human!

You changed me and my brother's life. because you teach my brother and he teaches me. Which makes me even smarter. Even though i am not in GATE he teaches me to prepare for GATE you are the best teacher ever. You are very kind and respectful so you will make a great teacher for when i am in GATE. Had the privilege of working with Robin the past 6 years. She is amazing. Her lessons reach all students and she does everything possible to ensure the success of all students in her class and throughout the school.
I have known Robin Cole for 5 years, and every year I am impressed by her depth of knowledge, dedication, insight and passion for her work in education. She continuously strives for excellence and I am proud to know such an exemplar educator!
Ms.Cole cares for us all by teaching us new things,helping our commutity,and telling us to never give up.Ms.Cole is amazing,smart,and always silly. You can learn lots of things from her like...History,Math,And reading!
i think ms.Cole is sooooo helpful she has helped me with soo many things like for example: i was in the talent show one year and she helped me so much more then the other teachers she helped me with my dance moves a little bit and a little bit with my singing
Mrs. Cole helps me a lot!
Some of the things she did was review the warm-up, and that's helping.
For example, today, with week 7, the riddle was hard.
But when she reviewed the warm-up, she helped me get a better grade!
Another thing she helped us get inside quickly when we had a drill where we couldn't be in the halls at that time. (medical emergency drill)
One more thing was that in our current project, she showed examples of what we could do for our twists in Starry Night.
I think Mrs. Cole deserves this domination. :)
Mrs. Cole has a way of connecting and communicating the lessons with the kids that is absolutely amazing! She taught both of my children and understood their differences and how to teach to each of their learning styles. Her patience and knowledge is unmeasurable. She is absolutely amazing and I am so thankful that my kids had the opportunity to be taught by her.
Ms. cole is a good and nice teacher and she is an fun and really kind teacher.
