Beth Blackburn was nominated by a colleague, Mamie Holland.

Mrs. Blackburn taught kindergarten and second grade for many years, which prepared her well for her present job. She understands the standards and elements involved in teaching in Kindergarten through second grade classrooms, and uses that experience to work with students one-on-one and in small groups. Her lessons are very beneficial to her students and help them become more successful in the classroom.

"Beth is a very positive person, and it definitely shows. She is always complimentary in teachers’ teaching. She has great expectations for her students’ achievement and does not hesitate to step in and lead a group of students in her classroom or teachers in a staff meeting," Holland said. "Beth makes a difference and is one of my LifeChangers!"
