Dr. Darby is the poster child for servant leadership. It’s always about what she can do to help someone else. She embodies everything you want in a leader and she is more than deserving of this nomination.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Darby at a few partner summits and recognized her servant attitude and positive energy right away! It is unmatched. She truly is a light that draws others in and very approachable and committed to the work involving children-our future! She is a huge cheerleader for public education and truly believes that ALL children can and will learn. I enjoyed connecting with Dr. Darby and believe she is very deserving!

I had the pleasure of working under Dr. Darby as a school level instructional technology facilitator. I believe this lady truly never sleeps as she was always just a quick phone call away at any moment! She always has the most positive attitude of anyone I have ever met! She always made me feel at ease even under the most stressful times with a quick “don’t fret you’ve got this!”

I have known Dr. Vickel Darby for many years. Also, I had the pleasure of working collaboratively with her at Marshall Elementary School. During these years, I witnessed her passion for providing quality instruction and integrating technology into her daily instructional practice. Moreover, Dr. Darby is approachable, patient, hardworking, intrinsically motivated, she enjoys communicating with others, and works well with all stakeholders.
Congratulations on your nominee for the LifeChanger Award. When I think about what it takes to change lives, I quickly reflect on your position with the M. A. Lee Scholarship Fund that changed the lives of many students and afforded them the opportunity to attend college. Your selflessness and dedication helped to make that happen.
