A good kindergarten teacher reaches so many facets of a child's development. It can be difficult to meet all of the different needs and ensure that the child is thriving. As Mrs. Tidwell begins her sixth year teaching kindergarten, she has mastered the ability to meet students' needs. She demonstrates her love and dedication every day. Her smiling children adore her, and Mrs. Tidwell creates a loving environment each day because she truly cares about them.

"She loves her students! Many nights and weekends, she stays late, quite often recruiting her family members to assist her with yet another project that will increase her student's productivity and success," her nominator said. "She knows in order for her children to be their best, she must be her best. She is always willing, always learning, and always finding ways to be a better teacher."

Mrs. Tidwell is also a huge influence on her colleagues, and enjoys mentoring other teachers. Her leadership outside the classroom influences others to be their best. She values what she has learned and experienced as a teacher and is willing to share that knowledge with others.

"Mrs. Tidwell exhibits expert knowledge in her area, but realizes it takes a village to truly benefit the child's academic, emotional, and social success," her nominator said. "She enthusiastically envelops her students year round while preparing them to be successful when they enter first grade. She is the perfect example of a LifeChanger!"
