Corey Hansen was nominated by her mother, Angela Craycraft.

If you come to Lebec and ask any student about Ms. Lebec, you'd be shocked to see how much they love her.

"Sometimes, I'll go out to eat at a restraunt in town, and the owner will tell me about how my daughter was the best teacher, and how she changed their child's life," said Craycraft. "I can't tell you how proud I am of my daughter."

As a single parent, life was not easy for Craycraft. Her daughter put herself through college with very little help. She has gone beyond the call of duty, not only for her students, but for her school, helping out whenever it's needed. She started teaching when she graduated college, and her students from the beginning of her career still contact her today.

"I think Corey is such a gift to this world," said Craycraft.
