LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Amy Tew was nominated by a family member, Susan Hanson.

Mrs. Tew is the definition of a LifeChanger.  She has the utmost love and respect for her students.  She strives to show them how valued they are in her class as well as in society.  It is not uncommon for Mrs. Tew to go the extra mile and ensure that her students have warm meals beyond the school day.  She creates a nurturing atmosphere in her classroom that enables and encourages her students to rise to the challenge.  She works tirelessly to help struggling students meet their graduation requirements and succeed. 

Mrs. Tew is a leader among her professional peers. She has been the recepient of many grants allowing her to reach her students in new and inventive ways.  She is well respected in her district and is often found leading professional development seminars.
