Tonya Tatham was nominated by her friend, Christy Fowler.

Ms. Tatham is a kindergarten paraprofessional who works in a special education classroom. She has touched so many lives and continues to change students' lives for the better.

"I have walked in and seen her de-escalating situations in a way that was absolutely admirable," Fowler said. "Her former students still keep in touch with her now."

"As educators, it’s not what we teach students that's most important, but the love and affection they feel when they are with us," Fowler said. "Tonya is one of the most professional women I have ever met. You can guarantee her ethics are by the book. She has changed so many lives with just a look, touch, and most of all, her whole-hearted love for students!"
